Carbon Fiber Stock for Savage 114 American Classic
« on: March 12, 2010, 08:41:54 PM »
Anyone know if there are any stocks available for a clip fed, 300 win mag savage 114?  I can't seem to find any on the net.  I'd really like to build a heavy barreled rifle on this action.  More specifically, I need the new stock to fit the detachable magazine.  I can find stocks all day with heavy barrel channels, but for blind magazines.  The detachable magazine is really the big limiting factor.  Thanks!

114=110=111=etc etc etc....what you gotta watch is the barrel channel...if you want a heavy barrel you'll have to watch for a stock to fit the barrel contour too.
this stock will fit your rifle but not the heavy barrel:

Thanks Jackalope.  I just modified my post to state that I'm looking for stocks that fit the detachable magazine that comes in the 114 American Classic.  It really limits my options (haven't even found a stock yet).  I'm toying with the idea of building a heavy, long barreled 338.

you may want to join this forum and ask northlander aka Jim Briggs what he's got or where you can get what you want. Briggs is a savage master...

Find the stock that you like, then just have it inletted for the bottom metal. Any stock maker should be able to do this without a problem.

They will build you exactly what you want, it may take some time but it will be worth it.
Never, ever let Creed hold you baby, it will ruin it and you will have to get another.
