Found my first deer shed!

Last weekend dad and I went shed hunting up at our elk camp. Dad found an area that he thought would be good for whitetail sheds. We were walking for about 30 minutes when I spotted a shed that Dad had walked right past! It was half buried in the pine needles, but I saw it!
About 20 minutes later I spotted something white in the brush. I yelled for dad and told him "I think I found something". I found the skeleton of a whitetail spike buck. Dad says it was probably killed by a cougar. We didn't take the skull with us, but we took some pictures.
I can't wait for the next trip!

He's gettin' famous for finding the ones that I should have tripped over... When he was 7 he was elk hunting with me. I kept fussing at him for staring at his feet while we were hunting. Late that afternoon I was stopped glassing a canyon and he yelled, "DAD, LOOK!!" It was a 6 point elk shed. If it had been a snake, it would have bitten me...
