it's official, the ticks are gone!!!

Wastickslinger walked through the woods and took every one of them with him :chuckle:

Not funny. Now you know why I hate those things. They love me. I gotta find a repellant that works.

Here you go wastickslinger, perfect stuff.  Important though, hang your clothes on a line and stay upwind, spray your clothes down and let the stuff dry, spray your boots and let the stuff dry.  Your good to go for up to six weeks, doesn't repell ticks it flat out kills them.

I used it for years in the military, it is very effective, but very bad if you use it on your skin.  Don't breath it in and don't put it on your skin. And don't put your clothes on while it is still wet.  It's not like you normall Deep Woods off stuff.  Spray your Hat, socks, pants, shirt and boots and your very well protected.

I have used this stuff for years and its great (either spray bottle or cans) ... make sure that all opens at least get covered ... under hat brims, face masks, shirt collars, shirt cuffs, down the button area opening, glove cuffs, pants & shirt waist areas, pant cuffs, pants zipper area, boots ... basically any area the bloodsuckers can get into, under, etc. !

Yep, all you guy and gal turkey chasers ....... just hunt Easterns in tick-free Western WA this year and you will have nothing to worry about!!  :P  You also probably won't have to worry about having your bird(s) checked by the WDFW.  Just look at the historical harvest numbers for the wetside!

Less ticks maybe but the west side is definitely not tick-free!  I wish..  Dog got one next to his eye a couple months back.  This whole thread has me itching and I'm sitting inside.. Yuck!

Anyone know if a thermacell has any effect on them? Or is it more for the winged bloodsuckers. I know it works well on skeeters and no seeums

Really? Worse than last year?  I was in the SE in late April/early May and would pull at least a dozen off me everyday.  It got to where I couldn't sleep because I would swear I felt one crawling on me somewhere.  Half the time I was right.

I've already picked off a few scouting on the west side this year.

11? I found 11 having a party on my neck at one time.  :bash: I think I picked about 80-100 by the end of my walk on Saturday. No joke. No inflation eather. It was at least 80. I peeled my shirt off twice during the day and cancelled the tick party.  :yike: :yike:

They are worse than i have ever seen.
Slinger , I've told you before if you'd stop belly crawling trying to sneek up on sheds you would'nt get so many of those damm things!  :chuckle:
