I have been using bore butter for grease on the plug and it has been working.  Is this ok or...???

I don't believe thats really breech grease,its been working for ya so ???,i really like gorilla grease works great but breech plugs are still hard to get out sometimes.

Glad you were able to get it out without damaging the gun. Just saw the thread, happend to me the first time too, I did apply some breech grease but not enough. I think someone else mentioned it as well, but as soon as I am done at the range I loosen the breach plug.
