Multi-season tags.........when is drawing?
« on: April 08, 2010, 06:24:46 AM »
Looking at the web site, it says notices will be mailed before the end of April,  Anyone know when the drawing is going to take place?

I know the big boys are meeting this weekend.

Of course, they raised the price on tags for the "successful" applicants

Drawing has happened.  It hasn't been posted officially yet.  You can see the backdoor results.

I looked through the check draw results link on the WDFW site and it showed results.  Not selected for deer and selected for elk for me.

When are we going to be able to purchase these tags?  I'd like to do that before they change their minds!  :)

There way a reply on another post saying that an indivdual made a call to WDFW and got a responce of April 23 they go on sale.  He also mentioned that they told him everyone selected will be mailed a notice first before they go on sale.

Why can't we just apply up front for $180 on a first come first serve basis?  Idaho seems to do just fine.

Am I mistaken in thinking that you can only purchase one or the other if you draw both?

You can purchase both if you draw both.  It'll just cost you $360.

I don't know why I thought that.  Seems like when they first started the multi tag I read it somewhere.  $360 is a chink of change but just think of all the hunting you get to do!

I have drawn the deer 3 times.  The only year I didn't draw I forgot to apply in time.  I have had a great time being out in the woods with 3 differant weapons 3 of the last 4 yrs!  I am pumped about getting elk multi this year!

So with the new draw system this year do I get to buy hunt applications for each weapon type?  That puts my name in the hat a whole bunch of times with the 10 or 11 elk points I have!  :)

I think you just get to mix and match weapon types in each category(i.e. you could do a quality bull with a rifle and your other pick be a muzzleloader).

The applications won't be based on weapon type. They will be in categories... Quality, Buck, Antlerless, etc.

You will only be able to purchase 1 application in each category, but with the multi-season permit you will be able to apply for any hunt on each application, regardless of whether it is an archery, muzzleloader, or modern firearm hunt.

Quality applications you will have two choices. All the others you will have four.

At least this is my understanding of the new proposed system.
