Wildey Auto Pistol
« on: April 10, 2010, 12:28:52 PM »
Does anyone have a Wildey pistol in any caliber? A local shop has an 8" Survivor in 45 Wildey Mag and I'm fighting the urge to buy it. The only hang up that I have is all the ammo that comes with it. There's 496 rounds of factory ammo that they're selling with the gun, but the ammo doubles the price!  :o I haven't bought factory ammo for 10 years and the thought of spending $1500 on 500 rounds of ammunition is incomprehensible to me. The gun comes with dies, so it would be easy to form brass and load my own ammo at a fraction of the cost. Of course, it would be a pretty sweet deal for somebody who doesn't reload but still wants an extremely cool gun.

I'll tell you what, if somebody hear wants to buy the gun/ammo package, I'll but the gun, brass and dies after you've shoot up all of the factory ammo. :chuckle:

Retail is $1596 so if it's being sold for half that with 496rds for 1500$ maybe not a bad deal  :dunno:

That's the problem, it is a good deal on the gun. It's actually the gun, with only 4 rounds fired through it, a Leupold 4x scope, Redding reloading dies, spare mag, original box and papers, and the ammo. If it were just the gun, scope, dies and maybe 100 pieces of brass, for $2000 I would have already bought it.
