I had my first camera (Bushnell) out for two weeks in an area that I've been scouting and my results were sad. I bought the camera on sale last summer for around $99 and I realized it wasn't top of the line, but still I figured I could catch a few decent day light pictures of game animals. I set it up in my house for the first day to figure out how it worked. In about an hour I had around 40 picture of my sons running around the house.

I had my cam mounted low on a tree facing a trail along a clear cut with a fair amount of sign. I threw my apples at 4 feet in front of the cam and 12 feet in front of the cam. Some I even through in brush and underneath fallen branches in hopes that the animals might stick around a little longer working at them. I left it out for two weeks. On my return I was excited when I came upon my camera and found many of the apples gone and the few that were left with huge bite marks out of them! I also saw a few deer in the area on the way up so my sights were high. As I opened up the camera case it flashed, and I peeked inside.......... Only 6 pictures. After I got back to the truck I put my SD card into my digital camera to find that three of the pics were when I dropped it off and three of when I picked it up.

What am I doing wrong?
