If some one has a ton of points and wants a premium tag who's gonna fault him for putting in for a premium tag ?. if he has two points and wants to burn them on the same unit who cares?. I still buy a lotto ticket , should I not just because of the odds. last year bullbuster drew the riffle rut tag in my area , After finding out he and his partners were good guys i was willing to help out . He ended up shooting a 350 bull in one of our honey holes. the chance of that bull being around next time we draw is slim to none , why not band together to help out.if you want a private hunt club buy one. :twocents:
:yeah:

Besides wasn't it mentioned there are no elk in the Blues  :dunno: :dunno:  :chuckle:

I still do not see why everyone gets so head up over this stuff..share if you are the sort that likes to share..... and don't share if your not...how hard is that  :dunno:

I will not be competing with any of you .....I am not a gambler......buy maybe one lotto ticket every once in a blue moon.....just not my thing

I hunted lick creek for years found some of the best areas for elk were the spots that people drove by to get to the canyons all the time  last year i hunted down there got pissed off because opening morning all i found was big branch antlered bulls could of slapped a big 6x6 on the butt he was so close to me just walking down the trail in front off me saw 7 nice bulls that morning one spike couldn't get a shot at him could have all the big bulls. hunted off pink-um mud flats count shoot around the tail bone.

I don't care about how many points you have when you draw the tag. What the problem is there have been people who draw these tags that don't know what the country is like and give up after a couple days because its to rough. When you get drawn you need to scout it for yourself. I have ran into a few guys from the westside scouting the blues. I don't have a problem helping these guys out. At least they have put sometime in,

Get drawn first then go scout. Why waste a bunch of time scouting a unit, that the odds are, you will never get drawn for in your life anyways. I have never flown or driven to Arizona,Wyoming,Colorado,Montana or others places that I have put in for to scout without getting drawn, but I have looked at many beautiful pictures and have dreamed many times of these areas. I think that most of us are like this and I know that if Ridgefire gets drawn for one these areas he will work harder and scout harder than most people. I know this because he is my brother and he is a bad news bowhunter.

Last time I checked this was a Washington hunting forum. And the topic had to deal with Dayton and Lick Creek.
