Anyone own a Sig arms pistol. I'm drooling over the P220r Equinox and a couple other of their carry models for conceal carry and am just curious on your likes and dislikes. Also who carries these to look at?

Have carried a 229 and 220 for work almost 20 years. 1000''s rounds and no problems. Very accurate, easy to Take-down and clean. IMHO
Springfield decent pistol too

I've carried various Sigs for the last 18 years, along with a great number of my co-workers. I've never had any problems with them, and offhand can't think of anyone else complaining either. I currently carry a Glock, it also seems to go bang every time I press the trigger. No complaints.

Had a Sig 229, loved it, finish was bullet proof, felt really good in my hands. I'd buy another one.

Sigs are top of the line high quality pistols, I own a older all Stainless P220 45 and I also own a HK USP 45 Fullsize 45acp and in my opinion the Sig is a better pistol, the accuracy is excellent and the reliability is second to none.

Been many years, but I used to shoot a compact .40 2-3x a month. One of the few handguns that felt like a natural extension of my hand.

I love my P226! I bought it about 18-20 years ago and it still shoots like brand new. I am looking into buying a new one in .40. They look, feel and work like a real gun, not some plastic piece of crap.

:)I bought two in 40 from a retiring cop. Did not get good service and not comfortable, not very accurate. sold both.

I own a P226 in .40, extraordinarily accurate and dependable. For those of you who found Sigs to be inaccurate, I would suggest you try a different loading in them as I have shot a bunch of them and all were very accurate and for those that found them to be unreliable I would be curious to see how they were maintained.
@timberghost72, try a Sig P239 if looking for a concealed carry, felt recoil is surprisingly light and they really do shoot more like a full sized gun, accuracy again is excellent. Sam's on airport rd in everett usually has sigs in stock and they do rent them for their range if you want to try before you buy, you can also pm me if you want and I'll meet you there and at least let you shoot my 226.

I have a P239 in 9mm. Great gun, very reliable and I like that it's SA/DA with an uncocking lever which gives you a lot of options compared to the DAO guns. To my mind it's still a little large for easy concealed carry but much smaller than the full size Sigs. There's also the P238 which is a very small version of the old 1911 but in .380.

229R in 9mm, 220R in .45acp, and 226R in .40....can't go wrong. All of mine are pre-MIM parts.
I wouldn't hesitate to own another. I'd trust my life with any one of them...even after 500+ rounds without cleaning or lube--and I've tried it...they just won't hiccup.
The only one I can complain about thus far in their lineup is the mosquito...nto quite sig quality IMHO.

I actually don't have a sidearm yet (shame on me), but my wife owns a Sig P229 in .40 cal (it sleeps on my side of the bed though). There are definitely other manufacturers with fewer moving parts in their guns, but this is completely reliable and has great accuracy. I borrowed another Marine's 1911 .45 right after pistol quals and the hammer broke. That just goes to show that even good guns sometimes have problems. Get what you feel comfortable with both in your hand and breaking down as long as it's solid.

I had a P226 .40S&W and a 357Sig drop in barrel for it. It was a good shooter. I sold it because I like my revolvers better.

I collect Sig and HK pistols. Sig is a top of the line gun, and I have yet to have a problem with any of them after break-in. P228, P229, P226 (2), P220 (2), P239 all have been superior weapons.

I just picked up a p220 and so far I do like it. The de cocker is a nice feature. The grip is to big in my opinion considering it's a single stack but it's growing on me. So far I've only shot a few mags through it but it does seem fairly accurate.
