I have heard of some seen in the Olympics, would not know why they "could not" be there.

Other then NW trek I have never seen any. Does not mean they are not here though.

My parents saw a bull moose just north of Bellingham years ago from I-5 walking along a frontage road.

Seen one on the Vedder above Sumas in BC.  Its about a 15 minute hike for a moose.
