new scattergun
« on: May 29, 2010, 09:58:16 PM »
Here's my new pheasant/quail gun.  It's a Benelli Ultralight 12ga with 24" barrel.

This gun is SWEET.  Only weighs 6 pounds.  It'll be a pleasure to carry.

It's really nice.  I can hardly put it down.

I went with the 24" barrel 'cause the inertia action on the Benelli is a little longer than the gas action on my 1187.  So, the overall length of the Benelli with a 24" barrel is very close to my 1187 with a 26" barrel.  I have always had Remington shotguns in the past.  The Ultralight does seem to have a little more recoil, but it will be a joy to carry.

I used to have one of these.  It was a good gun. Sold it to pick up a Kimber .45.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
