Great looking bear, not that it really makes a big difference, but do you have any measurements to share?

hey guys sorry i have not gotten time to post the story yet. but anyway my grandad and i went on this hunt togather, it was an awesome time we went pike fishing in the morning and bear hunting in the evenings just a great time with my grandparents. I shot this bear on the next to last night of the hunt. I was actually hunting with my bow but after my granddad shot his bear i though it would be really kool to take my first bear with the same gun that my granddad took his first bear with and was handed down to him from his dad. It is a 1937 Winchester 300 H&H.
I seen so many bears on this trip, 47 bears in 25 hours of stand time and my granddad seen 36 with 15 hours of stand time. I seen 3 really nice bears one a big sow that was pushing 400 and then a big boar that was pretty close to 350. the sow had a cub with her and the boar must have winded me because he came in and left very fast. the one i took was 310 lbs and my taxidermist measured him at 6'1" and a skull of 20 7/8 the skull is unofficial but he is really close and precise with his measurements i will have it officially scored later on if i even decide to.
My granddad shot a smaller bear i think he may have been getting tired of sitting in the stand but he is very happy with his bear. My grandma actually decided that she wanted to sit in the stand so she talked to the outfitter and he was ok with it even though i was not to thrilled about it; but hey i guess not to many guys can say they helped there 65 year old grandma into a tree stand over a bear bait  :chuckle: . I had 4 bears try to get in the stand with me one was a small boar and i actually ended up shoving the ladder of the platform over on him he really wanted to check me out. i ended up shooting this boar about 35 min after i did this and then was stuck in the tree. the big boar took some lead i shot him once in the shoulder and took out his running gear but he still took off and i ended up getn one in him on the other shoulder as he was running off, the second shot dropped him for good. you can see in the pic how his one shoulder is all broke up but he still ran after the first shot they are very tough animals i was amazed.
I am going to be going back next spring and gunna get one with a bow. i have a couple friends that are going to go with me it should be another great trip already looking forward to it.

Never to far, Just grab another minute!
