I will be going scouting this weekend to learn the more about the area. Which area should I start in the Bumping or the Nile? As of now I'm planning on hunting in the wilderness areas so I think I'm going to start there but if you think that is a waste of my time I'll try some where else. If you know of some areas someone with a bull permit could have a little luck and don't mind sharing please PM me. Thanks Shane

there are still the a$$ clowns that will ride into wilderness  >:( we were back in about 8 miles and had 2 guys pull up on 4 wheelers on the hill infront of us turn off there 4 wheelers wait 2 mins bugel a few times start back up and leave :bash: >:(

Was that in the Rimrock???  Was it a fatter gentleman with his kid???  If so I ran him off that mountain in 2007.  He said he had a gate key and had permission to be on that Rancher's property.  I said that's fine and dandy but the property ended at the bottom of the hill, and that he was on Wilderness land.  He got all pissy and I told him if I saw his 4wheeler on that mountain again I'd slash his tires.  Never saw him again.

I am going to be up hunting the Bumping unit for the season, I have hunted it for like the last 6 years. I am going after spikes !!!    :whoo:

Anyone that has a bull tag and is not having very good luck can PM me anytime in the season & I will go to your area & call for you or I know a few areas also. Give me a few days to chase spikes ( will be up opening day till I connect ) and them I'm up for some bull chasing. I would rather chase bulls than hunt spikes any day. Good at calling, have meat packs & in good shape. Can hunt any days.  Mike

That's why for now on I'm gonna hunt the west side. I would rather bugle in bulls for a buddy than hunt spikes any day. Way more exciting.

I think Ill like the West Side. Plenty of closed roads and I can bugle in bulls and ACTUALLY SHOOT THEM!!!!  I know weird what a concept huh. Anyways good luck everyone. Have a blast for me.

Went and scouted the Bumping this weekend!  :IBCOOL: I saw a few bulls not quite what I'm looking for but they're still good bulls. I hiked my a$$, for about 8 hours into the wilderness. My legs f-ing hurts so bad. I can't believe how steep that country is, I climbed so trails that would make a Mountian Goat cry...... It sucked, but I'm glad I did it. I have a good idea of where I will be camping for the season. Good Luck everyone

There are a couple of areas I can think of people sneaking in, but those start in the Nile, I think. Was this from a jeep road over by and jsut south of the Mt. Aix veiwpoint? Theres a jeep trail that heads in towards Rattlesnake Creek, possibly a mile before it becomes wilderness area.

Or possibly up by McDaniel Lake?
