I am about 500 yards from the s.f. ,i have not fished it at all this year but mabey tonight i will check out a couple of spots . Almost all wild fish, not alot of keepers. :'( :'(

stilly is a shorter drive for me too than Cow, but I have a softball tourney this weekend, then again on the 8th, then over to conconully the next weekend... not sure if I'll get any more stealhead action unfortunately. post some pics though huh?

I hooked my very first steelhead on the south fork just below red bridge I was 8 years old.  Hooked it on a trout pole fish won the fight.  There can be a lot of fish in that river at times

Are you hitting them towards the hatchery, I-5 or down river from that?  There were several rigs in the parking lot towards the mouth.

The south fork is above Arlington and out towards granite falls then up the mountain loop highway.  What hatchery are you talking about?

I live on the banks of the south fork stilly just down from the swinging bridge but haven't fished it yet this year......geuss I'm gonna start.
