« on: July 23, 2010, 09:10:04 PM »
Here is a bear that is quite tall. there is also a tape measure so we know. but we don't know age and weight and aren't good guessers. any guess on the weight or age?

Nice bear but he looks to be about 5 foot from nose to tail....6 1/2' standing I'd say around 200.  just my opinion

that is a good bear where I hunt. you can't really judge his age w/o some face and teeth pics. bears can stack on the pounds at a few years or never really put on the mass ever.......depends on a lot. weight wise, if the tape is accurate, I would guess 250-275ish. my bear in my avtar is taken next to me at 265lbs, I never did weigh him, but he out sized me a bit.

he is a decent bear, good spread on the ears, not huge, but good. face is not all scarred up as is often the case on old boars. I would guess 4-5 years old and stand by 250-275 lbs and gaining daily.
