certainly not the biggest bear ive seen but its meat in the freezer. not much of a story to the hunt but here it is.  we arrived at our spot about 530ish pm yesterday got the camo on, took a shower in bug spray, got the pack already, grabbed the rifle and started out. we were hiking to a rock where we sit to watch a clearing, well we didnt get that far.  we were not 150 yds from the truck when this one jumped out of the brush. the shot was about 75yds made from the standing position, would have liked to get on the bipod but the option just was not there. now i just need to find a good bear pepperoni recipe

Sweet! On a hot day like yesterday I would prefer a quick outing close to the road.

good work man. That doesn't happen to be the Beehive area does it? I have a bear on camera that resembles that one quite a bit. Just curious :dunno:

Congrats, as far as the pepperoni recipe, go to Eldons Meats website and order a packet of the peperstick seasoning, it's some of the best pepperoni I've had.

I was actually thinking the same thing about the Misfits :)  Nike a Go Go still rocks.  It's been awhile since I heard them.

thanks for all the comments everyone. booner--- we were no where near beehive so your bear on film should still be safe

yeah i was a bit worn out, was running excavator for my dad all week pulling out his orchard and i think the heat got to me. the misfits shirt doesnt make the field i just really hate the smell of deet and had to get the camo off.

Nice Bear!  Like everyone said any bear is better than no bear!  You could just make a bear skin vest for yourself.  Looks like it would be about the right size.  :chuckle:   Good job man.
