Finally got my new hunting partner
« on: August 17, 2010, 12:58:27 PM »
Picked her up last Saturday. I'm new to this breed, German Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, but I've been doing research for over a year and a half and spent some time with one over a weekend and really enjoyed it's temperament. Now the training begins :) 8 weeks old. I've always ran Britt's before loved them great hunters, but I wanted a change.

Is it a "German"  WPG?  or just a WPG?  Who's the breeder?  Congrats, mine is 8 months old now.  They are awesome dogs!!

She's a WPG. I got her from private owner in Vancouver, Wa. They wanted to breed their pair. They had two litters. First litter I was too late on, but the second I got 1st pick. She had two slicks in the 9. One male and one female. Choose the female.  The parents are both papered and the father was from champion hunting lines. Her and her husband hunt them both.  I hope she does me well too.

Good looking dog. I thought your wife was giving birth. :chuckle:
