GLOCK SIGHTS
« on: March 12, 2008, 05:23:52 PM »
ok so this seemed like the right place for this question...

anyway

i got truglo tritium sights on my glock. and the rear sight...mainly the left dot gets this little rust deposit around it. and it DOES NOT affect the glow of the sight. but its just really *censored*ty looking.

i clean it out with a q-tip all the time. but by the end of the day that rusty look is back.

anyone else have this problem? or know how to fix this?

thanks.

How long have you had them?  If they're built the same as the Trijicon, a gas filled tube, exchange them. They might be leaking.

Most sights like yours use either anodized aluminum or steel to cap the tube.  Whatever protective coating was used must be shot or damaged.

Clean it real good, a little rubbing alcohol and then seal it with.....clear nail polish lacquer. Seriously.  Got a Mrs? use hers. If not it's cheap. I know guys that use it on their flies.

what was that?  spell check filled the whole screen?
