When you have a day like that it really doesn't matter whether you kill or not. NICE...

Was out all day yesterday. I really made about 6 hours in attempts to harvest that big cinnamon colored bear. He lives up near the pass and the wind was really a problem for getting within archery range. At one point I was waiting in ambush and he came into 40 yards below me but the wind was blowing in two directions at times and he picked up my scent. All in all - every attempt at getting an archery shot on him but he smelled something (me) every time. The bear count was 7 bears yesterday. I think that wraps up my bear season. I guess I will not be getting one this year.

Axle, that bear would be a fine trophy on anyone's wall. I think I will hold fast to my method. Although I do shoot bears with guns too.
