juniper dunes
« on: September 02, 2010, 06:32:07 PM »
Is this just a huge sand trap?  Talked to some biologists last year and said it was open to hunt but walk in only, and to stay away from the wheelers.  Anybody ventured into it?

yes the south west end is rolling sand dunes, as you get further in more dunes are cover with sage, junipers and grass. It holds some dear and some elk have been known to roam through, kind of a cool area. access is an issue, many of the land owners are reluctant to offer easements because of past and present problems with people not respecting private property, litter, chasing cows the usual crap stupid people do.
Honesty is the best policy,  but insanity is a better defense.

Thanks for the info denali, hunted kahlotus late season muzzy last year and that area was on my places to check out due to public access, never got around to it though.  Limited hunting with little  land owner permission. Gonna try again this year, thanks again.
