What are they coming to?  Mineral lick?  Natural?  Salt?  Looks like a well established lick based on the exposed roots.  Great pics, by the way - some huge blacktails!

Just salt.  Ya its a pretty established place, im just puzzled where those huge bucks go during the day?  In all the years we've never got a big buck pic in the daylight here.  I wish i could get some of these guys on film in when it counts.

Ha!  Welcome to the nightmare of mature blacktail hunting!  They are there, and likely not far from that spot.  They are lazy at this time of year but that will change very soon.

Mature blacktail are my passion!  I also hate them very much! :bash:  Incredibly hard to run into.  This late archery season im gonna have a sore ass and a worn out treestand!
