well nothing for round one but round two on tuesday
« on: September 11, 2010, 12:09:13 PM »
well was up at lil naches on last monday till yesterday. saw a grand total of 5 cows and 1 calf wth a bull bugelin in the back ground. was a good start. opening day last stand of the day i passed on a cow at 15yrds due to low light situation and was unsure of the shot becaue of some debre in the way  :bash: but think i made the best decision since it was pooring like hell that night. the next day went over a ridge and did a lost cow call wth a cow response and headed down into the brush. she came in at 30yrds but a pine branch wth needles were coverin the vitals but can see the head, back part of the stomach and rump. then the restof the time just seeing em on the side of the road while walkin to the truck or from a distance.. Well heading back out tuesday, got myself a blinde and some elk piss so gonna change my tactics a lil bit since the elk are prob spooked and starting to be call shy by now. hopefully can make something happen this comming tuesday to mid day friday.. any infro bout hunting from a blind? nvr done it before.

that 1 hillside you were hunting was good and holds elk. Good luck the rest of the season. It was good meeting you and shooting some archery darts. :)

Be careful where you pore the elk piss you could end up on the wrong end of things.
