what were you calling for?

I was bow hunting deer up around Eddy's mountains.. There was some loggin going on making a racket... Heard some shotguns... the grouse were out...  Didn't see any fresh elk sign but herd from my brother they had been in the area.. Shot a grouse with my bow at 25 yards w/ a rubber blunt.. Didn't hit him square.. Kinda low in the rump/ end of the wing.. he just flew away... saw like 7 grouse tho...
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Since it's Facebook news anyways I'll post the pic, just took the face out.

No luck for me on my spike tag.  I'm most likely done for the season unless I get out Friday afternoon.  I'll have to wait until December and try and get a couple spikes I was watching this spring in their winter grounds.
