My Under Armour Underwear Challenge
« on: September 26, 2010, 06:58:18 PM »
OK, So I am a underwear freak, I have been in search for the perfect pair of skivvies for as long as I can remember.  Cotton, Silk, Briefs, Boxers it didn’t matter, noting felt comfortable and nothing kept me from chaffing and sweating  my. . . well you know.
I decided to pick up a pair of the Under Armour “O” Series Boxer Jock.  Yes a little pricey for one pair; $19.99 from Bass Pro Shops.  I washed them as soon as I got them and tried them off and on for about a month.  They were comfortable, didn’t ride up or bunch in the groin (no adjusting) and I was impressed how I was able to go without my daily dusting of powder.  :IBCOOL:
Now, this all started last February, and I can say that I have about 15 pairs of them now and they are the only underwear I am wearing.  I marked the original pair on the waist band and even after almost 8 months of machine washing, they look and feel like brand new.
I have worn them every day now and have no complaints except for the price, but to me, it is worth it. They are extremely comfortable and long lasting.  You really can’t even feel them when you are wearing them, especially if you wear compression long johns or thermals and the chaffing I used to experience  is a thing of the past.
So if you are looking for a few pairs of good underwear for hunting, hiking or working out in, you should give some thought to these, I did and I am hooked.

Note: I am in no way affiliated with Under Armour in any way. I just wanted  to share my experience with them to all of you.

I bought my first pair of Under Armour boxer briefs about 4-5 years ago. I have about 8-10 pairs and have yet to wear out any of them. They all fit and wear like they were brand new. Wouldn't wear any other now.

You can buy them lots of places but Bass Pro is the cheapest I have found by about $10!
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I use Patagonia boxers - there kind of like the UA material but fit like normal boxers (not tight).  They are about $30 if you pay full price but REI will have a sale on them once a year for about $15 to $20 and I always pick up a couple of pairs.

Same here...love them! They are spendy but worth it, my first pair is about 4 years old now and they still look brand new.

I have a couple pair of Under Armour and like them but i also tried the Eddie Bauer First Ascent and like them even better. They cost more than the UA but are very comfortable.

Another vote for the UA boxer briefs.  I bought 4 pair 4 years ago, none show any sign of wearing out.  I only wear them for active days.

I bought some of these in July when I started going to the gym. Was having chaffing issues also. Best $20 I spent. Have a couple pairs now and use them everytime I'm at the gym.
They work so well that all I wore on my trip to WY for speed goats. The only issue was that in 85 degree temps, they don't last more than a couple days. Stanky!!!
I'd recommend them to anybody that has normal sized thighs and get a lil chub rub. ;D

Dont forget this also..... :)
Anti-Monkey Butt Powder

Talcum Powder + Calamine

Ideal for butt busting activities such as truck driving, motorcycling, bicycling, horse back riding, and extreme sports. May also be applied inside footwear, under sports pads, and other areas prone to chafing. Indoors or outdoors, work or play, or on occasions when you sit on your butt all day, don’t let your buns get red, use Anti Monkey Butt Powder instead!
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

It disturbs me very much that there are guys on this website that have anywhere from 10-15 pairs of underwear that cost $20 a piece.  What R U guys, chicks?

UA is awesome! i have been wearing them for years now during sports, hunting, working out, and now in the military as well during long field exercises and over here in the sand box when it got really hot on missions. you can usually find them at any sporting goods or outdoor kind of stores. if you get their cold gear base layers they are all you need under your hunting clothes during the really chilly days out in the field, love UA and will continue to buy their products!

Well, I wouldn't choose some guy because, well, that should be self explanatory.

If the woman was attractive that would just be lewd.

But Patty is just ridiculous.

Makes three of us. Three pages about under wear. I just grab what ever cleans ones I have around. $20 is alot for 2 pairs of underwear. Hell you can probably buy two or three dozen at Walmart for that price.
