My 6x6 Idaho Bull...
«

Just got back from our Idaho elk hunt the other night, we had a great time! Beautiful country, good friends, and even a couple big bulls made it a trip to remember. Unfortunately for us though we actually saw more wolves than bulls during our time there, 8 totaling to be exact on three different occasions.
Despite our canine competition we still managed to fill one of our three tags. My friend Kevin from Idaho called this bull into 6 yards with his primos hyperlip. I made a good shot through the front shoulder and he went down within sight. That was the closest id ever been to a rut crazed slobbering school bus with horns, and to say i was excited would be an understatement! I owe everything to my friends Cliff and Kevin, without them this experience would not have become reality for me, so thank you guys! I do find it funny though that an animal that we could run into multiples of on three different occasions (wolves) could be on the endangered species list
seems pretty dumb to me.

Well done blacktail7, congrats on your first archery bull. Must have been a thrill being that close.
