I ran into one the other day. he woulda been in my chillie if i had known if they were legal or not to take.  i couldnt find anything in the regulations does anyone know the rules?

also does anyone know were the rattlers like to hang out?

Legal to harvest.

Shoot them, skin em,gut em, put em on ice, cook in hot olive oil with some garlic and wine, enjoy.

well this one liked hangin out on my front porch so much that he gave me a friendly bite to the ankle. i didnt find him welcome and gave him a taste of .38 snake shot

I assumed it got him in the boot.  Even so, I bet it left a mark as one that big could thump pretty good.

i have also hunted rattlesnakes since i was a kid. i have killed a ton of them. that is a monster of a rattlesnake :yike: hope you skined it out. hell a guy could do a whole longbow with that snake :drool:

well guys i figured i would let it go for a little while, but this is a texas diamondback. and a huge one at that. i was on the phone with CoryTDF walking up to my front door, when i felt a hard smack on the side of my boot. it was dark outside and didnt think much of it but flipped my phone over as a light and saw that snake coiled up. i about filled my pants. well i shot him and then checked my leg. on my white's boots you can see two fang marks. and on one of them you can see daylight throught the hole. i dont know how i lucked out not getting bit

ya hahah it does, im to lazy to switch my info. but i did skin it out with the beads on it. the weird part of the bit is that the venom that was all over my boot actually discolored it, pretty wild!
