His name is Lucky, and no tail feathers may help him survive another season! I would pass on him....

I'd dump him, he's got a decent beard, and I've got tail fans that I still haven't done anything with just laying round the house.  Plus he looks yummy!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

I did that to a bird. :chuckle:   I smucked him with my pick up truck and he was laying in the ditch.  I figured I could use soem fly tyeing material so I stopped, pick him up by the legs and gave a tug.  WELL.....like Polly shore in the son-in-law movie, the turkey came back to life.  I had him by the legs and as I doged getting my eyeballs plucked out and beat to death by 6 foot wings, I finally got a hand around his throat,, but then he went to work getting at me with his feet.  The adrenaline finally paused for a second and I realized I didn't need to sit there and hold on to him, so let him go.  He ran off with one tial feather.  Poor bastartd probably never got layed that year. :chuckle:

Instead of posting a new topic, this is a good thread to mention this , maybe i can get some pics in the next day or two, but anyways. There is a TOM i have seen twice now about half a mile from my house ( western , WA, Rochester) that is in a nighborhood type duplex couldasack. It is hanging around like 3 or 4 chickens today, just pecking, but it looks like it was mangled up, a lot of missng ruffled feathers or something. I'm not sure if it was a tame bird that got out and is just wondering around, or a wild bird that was near teh Scatter creek release site that got messed up by something and finds it safer to stay in yards...Ill se if i can get som pics, and get them on her by tomorrow, just kinda out of place.... :dunno:

On teh other hand went scouting today, found a flock of 15 birds!, but they were on private property, so i'm eitehr gonna have to get permission or manage to call one of them over  about a mile to public land. :hello:
