Last trip for Sturgeon
« on: October 10, 2010, 08:05:19 PM »
Took Longtat down for a trip for his last Sturgeon trip as he preps to leave the state to move back east.  Anyhow we got about 25 or so, and he got a keeper...  Lost an oversized, forgot to rubber band the hook to prevent it turning back into the shad and pulling right out of the fishes mouth..  Good day, except for the rain, holy crap did it rain and the loss of a wheel from my trailer..  Snapped right off at the lugs and rolled down the on ramp at Castle Rock, when I turned in for gas..  Good thing a repair guy was close, no boat damage, but the hub and wheel obviously need to be replaced...  Here are a couple pics of four drowned rats....

Looks like a fun time!!

I went Saturday, landed three undersize. Another in the boat landed two, one keeper. Was my first sturgeon and though they went back, still had a great time.

Nice fish. Haven't heard about LTL in a while.
