Dumb turkey
« on: March 26, 2008, 07:43:25 PM »

Just thought i would start it off juicy. Went down easter weekend to my hunting area and im driving down the road and these guys are in the middle of the road. About a total of 30 turkeys. About 7 to 8 fully matured Toms, lots of jakes and plenty of hens. Some hens with short beards also. wierd but what ever.

AND MORE.....

They do more damage to a vehicle then a deer would. I have hit both and the turkey by far did more, almost totalled my car.

Quit hitting them with your car!  :bdid:

Saw a group of turkey standing along side Old HWY 99 about 4 miles out side of Tenino.  Some idiot was parked right in the middle of the lane trying to stop cars from hitting them while he tried to shoo them away.

yeah, not vey far from it at all...there were honestly a mega but load of full strutting toms there...and even more on another proerty that i didnt mention. just on the other side of the field i took you to...so either way you were in turkey valley.....a gorgeous little hen decoy in the middle of that field would do wonders!

Yeah, honestly i would rather swerve and miss them, than hit one and keep.......

they really do alot of damage....being young and dumb about 6 or 7 years ago i did so and almost totalled out my car......

so i recommend not hitting them if you have the choice.....
