Man I know the feeling I'm fighting the other .243 my dad has. We just got it to group at 100yds today, I spent three days of shooting to get it to shoot a .5" group at 100yds after changing the scope and then the ammunition 3 times. My .338 and .243 both love my hand loads but my dads doesnt it will only shoot the factory ammo. Im thinking of trying completly diff bullet and powders to get it to where my .243 is.
Well I made it a point to go shoot 300+ before season. I was shooing the .338 win and the .243 at the 10x10 plate at 300yds the last three days and I think that my guns are dialed in now. Off hand with no sticks or rest I can hit the plate every shot and off a rest I get about a 1.5" group with the .338 win . The 243 makes about a 3" group but the wind was blowing a little off and on when I shot it.
