Iron.....very nice!!  I was supposed to go out on the opener, but after watching the river levels all day the day before, decided against it.  Looks like the river was rippin' pretty good where you were at also.  Thanks for the pics.

We drove all the way up hwy 20 yesterday to find the skagit solid chocolate milk mud and flows were only at 11k. we kept going higher and higher hoping the sauk was puking all the mud, but the cascade was really bad too. above the cascade there was 3' of vis and the river looked good, but there was no springers there :bash:  :bash:  :bash:

Coon Dog,
This is a pink year...  would you mind keeping us informed of how the run is going in August?  My dad is in Sedro but, rarely gets to the river unless I take him..
Introduce someone new to hunting this year.

this is gonna sound real dumb...but the boat never touched the water. we turned around and drove home. we wanted to fish springers... :'(
thanks for the offer though, i'll surely take you up on it.

GocougsHunter it looks you have to release pinks on the skagit this year.

I was thinking the same thing. definitely no humpies on the skagit this year. come down to the skykomish...there'll surely be a million of them there. thats where i'll be.

I'm hoping to be on the Sky for them.  I missed them last go around but caught the heck out of them the time before on a fly.  Man that is serious fun.

Sounds like a blast.  When does the run start?  I remember it being fairly low water and haot as hell.
