I guess its no different than those public hunt spots where you find pintail hen after pintail hen from those that are unable to identify there birds.  Those duck hunters didn't seem to have any problem donating them to the predators of the night.   :twocents:

you should keep the bird. In the state of Washington there are wasteage laws that you can be fined or arrested for leaving dead game behind. yes you went over your limit. but its better to do that and maybe get a ticket than know that you killed something that is just going to go to waste now...

But in this scenario, he didn't kill the extra bird. And as others have said, nothing goes to waste in nature.

where i hunt the bird won't go to waste. As it is now, it's a race already. the moment the bird drips, the Bald Eagles and us race to see who gets to the duck first.
