ghg has some great dek's for sure. if you are getting full body geese for field hunting make sure you get the flocked heads. you don't have to, but our numbers really picked up when we switched to them. :IBCOOL:

GHG or some of the Final Approach Decoys.  Cabela's has there own line that don't look to bad.  Around $119 per dozen.  Goose GHG, DSD, Drop Zones, Big Foot flocked ones.  Check them out.  See what works in your price range.

I'm finding myself fairly loyal to GHG just because they are fairly realistic looking (at least to start with) and easy on the wallet.

Anyone try Drake's new mallard decoy? I assume they are new, at least  :dunno: I saw some up in Lynden for $120-ish/dozen and was intrigued.
Everyone shoots three times per bird, right?

Mallards, pinatails and teal.  More mallards if your tight on cash.  They have some tanglefree on sale at Sportco for $22 per dozen.  I don't use them, but I am sure they could get you a duck or two.

GHG SUCKS!!!! They crack and chip and look like hell after not much use and I don't really abuse my decoys as I don't have the money to do that... I'd look at Tanglefree.. they are cheaper and possibly better quality. Also the Flambeau has some new ones that aren't too horrible looking and are CHEAP

I've been using the same GHG mallards since they came out like 9 years ago. Never cracked or chipped.  Buy the best decoys you can afford and don't worry about having teal, pintails or wigeon.  They all will decoy to mllards.
hey, where's Professor Chaos? Anyone seen him?

I have 2 dozen of the Drake double duty got them during off season.  I also just bought a dozen of the Dakota Extreme Mallards with flocked heads.  I find both to be good so far this year.

I don't like GHG just cause their customer service is non-existant. Their Keels are some of my favorites though, I have to admit. Fullbody's though I've had serious problems with.

If I were buying just a few decoys I'd either go Aero Full Curls, or maybe get some more Ure-A-Ducks.  but depends on $$ too.

I saw his Drakes and Dakotas this weekend, they are pretty slick.

You can always flock your own dekes if you want.  Its pretty easy to do.  This is just one of several flocking kits you can pick up.

I've done thta, even though the flocking didn't hold up well, the deeks still looked better. had a good dark sheen to them (they were honker deeks) and no reflection.

Yea the flocking will get beat up if tossed in a bag loose.  I made individual "headbags" for mine, takes a little longer to break down the spread but the flocking lasts much longer.
