I think we all should post pics of our biggest bucks and follow Mossback's lead.

LongStevo...that is one of the nicest blacktails I have ever seen!! Dang. What does he score?

Lowe... Not sure what you read there, but Washington has the number 1 or 2 (I thought it got broke recently), but had the number 1 blacky for Many MANY years....

I was just looking at the top tens on NW Big Game and see that Oregon's # 10 TYP BT is bigger than WA's # 1.  I don't know anything about BTs and was wondering why that is.

Top 3 Blacktails of all-time B/C

#1 - 182 2/8 Lester Miller, Lewis County, Washington, 1953

#2 - 175 2/8 Clem Coughlin, Mendocino County, California, 1981

#3 - 172 2/8 B.G. Shurtleff, Marion County, Oregon, 1969

I was looking some more after I posted and I see B&C says that WA has the #1 Columbia BT Typ.  They don't recognize the Cascade BT like NW Big Game does.

The #1 WA Columbia BT according to NW BG is actually a couple inches bigger than the one B&C has listed.

It's kind of interesting to look at the top tens.  Oregon's Cascade BT are actually a little bigger than the Columbia BT where as WA's Columbia BT are much bigger than their Cascade BT.   :dunno:

Longstevo.  that is one of my favorite bucks as well.  I remember that pic from a few years back.  Deep forks like that are almost unheard of on a blacktail

Thanks guys.  That buck surely is once of a life time.

If I remember right, he scored 157 and some change typical, and 182 and some change non-typical.

If you look in the newest Washington record book, my name is there at #2 for blackpowder cascade blacktail.
