By the way you posted the subject I would say no. The word murder in the dictionary =
to kill or slaughter inhumanly or barbarously. Besides if the deer has been hand fed then its no longer a wild animal in my book. I would question my right's as a hunter & the deer's as a prey, once the animal trusts humans its no longer the same game... Let the Buck go, hit the trail & find a buck that has a fighting chance.

We have elk in our yard all the time and I am often asked why I don't shoot one. Though they do sometimes piss me off because they eat all the flowers and such, I just don't see the need to shoot one. I hunt for the challenge, for the excuse to get away from the phone, the computer, the traffic. I hunt as an escape from reality so to speak. Sitting on my back porch and sticking one with my bow just doesn't really do it for me. I have nothing against people that do because that is their prerogative but its not for me. If I were really hard up for money and really needed the meat it would be different but luckily I am not.  :twocents:
Well said some of us hunt to enjoy gods creation for some of us its about the immersion in nature, the solitude, the pursuit of an animal on its terms, the quality time spent with family, and friends to each their own if it were me I would pass.

I would go ahead and shoot it. It may not exactly be a real 'hunting' experience, but you can do that next year. There is nothing wrong with killing an animal like that. People kill tame or semi-tame animals and eat them all the time in the form of livestock! It's going to die eventually anyway.

Well said methowman.  Going after a hand fed deer isn't much of a hunt.
