How has everyones season started off???
« on: November 05, 2010, 08:51:04 PM »
Hit 103 birds for the season, so good weather and all it's been a decent start.  I am just hoping for some snow now.
Cut em!

We have 46 geese and a few mallards for the season. Pretty good for us but you are definitely kicking some feathery azz.

I don’t keep count but my duck & geese numbers are way down from last season.  I’ve been spending more time this year on pheasants, quail and chukars.  Got my first geese of the year Weds. Could have had a limit but I passed on several iffy colored lessers; too worried about downing a dusky.  I’m still working on I.D.ing the 7 subspecies Canada geese but I’m getting better at it.

Bad season so far only went out once,(terrell) got two. I work nights and can't get off work early enough to get a good spot :bash: :bash:. I had a vacation week 3rd week of october the weather was'nt good for duck's. Tried to go to Johnson farm this morning after work but it was packed, as was welks, then I looked at Lervig farm for snows but that seems like standing in a firing line. I'll check spencer Is. this evening. Does anyone have any suggestions for a evening hunt or is that a  :bdid:?

Waiting for more northerns to show.  The limit of ducks I like to shoot doesn't score very well.  Mallards, I will wait until there are plenty to choose from and I can pick my birds.
Today's limit only would have scored 18 points, 3 Mallard D., 2 Wigeon Drakes and a Wood Duck drake and hen.  I know I can do better than that.
