I just talked to a Capt with the WDFW and he says that Porcupines are considered unclassified wildlife.  Unless sprecifically listed as illegal to sell in WAC 232-12-071 (posted above), listed as endangerd or threatened, they are LEGAL to buy the hides and non edible parts.

So michelle how much for a lifesize porky mount?
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

For those of you that have asked about the shipping, I will email you a UPS shipping label and can either schedule a pickup or you can drop the box off with UPS. So you wont have to be reinbursed for shipping. Any other questions please just ask.

Great, keep stacking it up.
I'm looking for another 10 pounds or so but would buy 20.

My cousin's german shorthair just got into one...twice...within a week.  $900 later he's all healed up.  Sounds like he needs to do some porcupine hunting!

Depends on what parts.

ok, well, just for the sake of this discussion....
Porcupine skins or quills.

Yep totally legal.

It's actually illegal to sell/purchase in this state because porcupines aren't considered "wild animals". To see what animals are "wild animals" look at WAC 232-12-007

Not true at all.  I'm very surprised you posted that.

My dad does the trapping for like 4 or 5 timber companies. I think his quota for this year should be between three and four hundred. I highly doubt he will take the time to skin any but he always pulls the guard hair on the good ones. I believe last year he was getting $26 per ounce. I didn't read this whole thread so how much are you looking for and was are you paying and I will pass it on to him.
