You can get ballistic coefficient for your bullets at any bullet site... and get velocities from Hodgdon.com or many other places...

I used thi when I set up my 6.5-06. I had to make a lot of corrections to the sight height and bc to get it to be accurate beyond 700 or so, but I finally tweaked it to actually follow my path to 1400yds. do not think if you plug in the numbers on your box and a sight height that you can be a 1k yd marksman. it took me several days and lots of rounds to verify my map.

The calculators are great for getting you close and giveing you a starting point but their never right on and the only way to make up a drop chart is by shooting at distance.

I agree 100% with you guys. This is just a fun calculator that shows you the diffs between different bullets with different BC's and such. I will never be a long range shooter until I get the time to really practice it .... which may never be! :dunno:

I am having fun comparing the 30-06, 7mm, 300 win and the 300 ultra though...
