There was a man at the Big Horn Show in Spokane that didn't know either.  He entered a deer skull with antlers to be scored.  He said it was a cougar kill he found  and it did have holes in the snout area that looked like teeth.
It never changes, but it is always different.

I do not know the rules in MT but I am pretty sure in Washington you cannot take any antlers attached to a scull. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Still a cool find and I would be tempted to take it home!

true...you can not take any bones. or antlers attached to a skull.

Some people just read a portion of the topic and just make responses or feel the need. I have been guilty from time to time but I try not to. I know what you mean though. It's not like you didn't read it the first 2 times.  :dunno:

Some of it is comraderie and they don't want a fellow member to incriminate himself on here.   The game boys are watching.  For instance...when Polarbear pulled his April Fools joke, I got about 20 pms or emails alerting me to it as they were afraid he was going to get busted.  Serious concern.  I was pretty darn sure he was April Fooling, so let them know that.  Then alot of them went   He got me.  It was of serious concern for him.  Point is, its easy to break a game law, and we sort of like to educate, or don't want folks to get into trouble.  Then there are those are are just pains in the butts.  Rightfully so, its hard to walk away from a nice elk skull out there later to have some guy who doesn't know the rule book, walk home with it and be proud as hell, escaping all justice.  I have to admit, I find that a bit frustrating.

ABSOLUTELY DUDE!  I'd be happy as hell.  I use to bring every skull I found home.  Now I just take pics. :(

Fish Hawk= game warden. Sometimes i guess i get fed up with the fact that everyone is so quick to throw someone under the bus to benefit themselves. I here it all the time that someone is so proud to win 10 points but not proud of the fact that they helped stop someone who is killing game unlawfully or as i like to say killing it with out need. I am starting to get off topic but that is how i feel. My hunting partner is a walking game book also and sometimes it gets on my nerves. I know lots of people who go out of there way to break the rules but it is not my place to police them. Anyway that is a great find legal or not.

Its a damn nice find.  Too bad the pic has to be put on defense and picked apart before it gets appreciated.
