I'm laughing because she has had to do 5 out of the last six practices on her own.   Previous to that I did everyone for a year and a half without missing any. LOL   That was enough fuel to piss her off.  She is jealous that I have vacation.  She forgets she had 3 months off this summer becasue she works for the school district.  The difference.  I get paid on my vacation while I hunt.  She doesn't.  You can't win any arguement, no matter how logical it seems, so you just smile and know the moon will change.  Essentially she pissed me off enough though that I might miss the three basketball games this weekend and go hunting instead.  Kids understand as they listen to it.  They know I don't miss anything of theres without a REAL good reason.

I take back every nice thing I said about my wife.   What a *&$#@.   Probably more pics to come.  Hell with her.

holy crap! that made me laugh

+1

One of the funniest things I've read in a long time.... :chuckle: :chuckle:

You definitely have set the bar as far as pics go...they are top notch and we all appreciate them.  Also, with some of the offers you are getting (they'll drive etc) you need to see if you can negotiate some one to keep momma happy as well.  You got to have some yard work or gutter cleaning that needs done.

Need an agent?  :chuckle:

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

Bone
I have a question. (a few) How do you keep all your camera gear dry with all the crappy weather and sleeping under the stars -so to speak? Do you keep a plastic shroud or something over the one you are shooting? and how do you deal with the foggy lenses?

I use a sea bag.  Its what you put a sleeping bag in...can get them from cabelas.  Its big and I leave it open so that it breaths...(no fog that way.   If you seal it, it will certainly fog on you.   I have to carry it often in my pack which means I miss alot of photo ops.  When I am shooting, I either pull it out, pull the trigger or not pull it out and again miss the shot.   I use veggy bags from the produce Aisle from safeway  as well.  They are thin .  You put the bag over the camera and rubberband it to the lens.

whenever my wife's patience starts to wane i remind her that "at least i'm not going out so sea for months on end anymore". when she questioned hunting on thanksgiving i reminded her that it's not the first holiday i've missed. that one went over like a pregnant pole vaulter. i will be hunting the day after thanksgiving  :'(  i also burned an entire week of vacation time during the middle of general deer season to help her out after surgery. don't get me wrong - i was happy to do it, but i AM getting a little mileage out of that.  ;)

That sounds like alot of work. Would you post a pic of your gear in action, if that is possible? I think that would be neat to see. And your bivy camp :chuckle:

I see this pic and think of you sneaking up on a big buck

By the way, give it some thought before you marry one that hunts and fishes..... I thought that would be the perfect setup until I met a girlfriend that fished and hunted... Could never get away from her!!!! :chuckle:
"Yeah, going hunting in the morning." "Great! What time are we leaving?" "Uh......"

Thats funny.  Up until today I was going to be home for Thanksgiving.   She just pissed me off though, so we will see.  Every once in awhile she rattles the bears cage a little hard.   It really isn't too smart to piss off the bread winner.
