took my mom out for her first deer.
« on: December 07, 2010, 01:04:21 AM »
well long story short idid allot of scouting and trail camera soaks promising nice bucks but then between the new job and unfortunate events i had barely any time to hunt this year so i took decided to just fill the freezer with the first nice bodied spike i saw. then after order my moms brand new bow and getting her into hunting like the rest of our family we had only a month or so to get it sighted in and her use to shooting. then i took her up to copper creek 3 days ago for her first real hunt.we hiked about  a mile or so. saw 2 really nice monsters in one of my honey holes but could not get close enough for a shot then with her a little dissapointed this nice 2 by spike came walking out. it was about a 22 yard shot down hill quartering away she did a perfect shot right threw the top of the heart he ran no further than 20 yards then dropped cold. she was excited and it couldnt have been more of a perfect first buck.
