I do agree 100%.  Folks probably think I am nuts, but I can't believe how fast they shoot, and how smooth they are, AND how light they are to carry through the woods compared to my compound.  Also SILENT.  Know what a twig sound like on a metal riser of that compound.  :yike:

I want another after I saw that one elknut, but not sure I want to put the one I have down now.  I'd like to get one like yours with an Ivory toothed inlay from my NM bull.

Its all about the combination of woods and choices of woods for each component I think that makes these things so fast.  Light strong woods for the limbs, and strong solid for the Risers.  I'm probably borderline abusing the site plugging this bow, but its awesome, not to mention its a piece of artwork. I was in shock of how well I could shoot with it.  its kind of intimidating at first, but YOWZER!

Backstraps, you'll have to take it up with Hornseeker about prices.  He's not a sponsor on here, or at least not yet, and I don't want to abuse the site by selling.  Right now I fiugre he is showing off handywork and there are a couple guys on here with it and are bragging about their bows.  Kinda no different than bragging about your Mathews.  I tell you what though.  There is a process in this market.  You start out making the bows and you perfect your line and as your name becomes known the price goes up.  If you are known for your work and are in the field awhile they become as much as custom art pieces or rifles.  Ernie has got his name out there and his bows are the best.  You guys ought to know out of my 5,000 posts that I don't really endorse anything.  Fact, most of the time I'm anti that.  In this case I am as proud as a father of his newborn child to own one of these.

Bones is right!! Ernies time & quality he puts in his bows are amazing, he desrves recognition here. You have to consider there are lots of great looking trad stuff out there, but where Ernies bows shine is when you shoot them, that's where he seperates himself! I'm glad it was mentioned how "quiet" they shoot, I'd forgotten that. So I went & shot it again, it's a mere whisper on release, now that's cool! I am a Sponsor here & I am plugging his bows, simple because he deserves it & any who does get one will truly apprecieate it & that makes me look good too !! (grin) Most custom bows start in the 700.00 range & run into 1200.00-1400.00 range. I've looked into them for sometime now. Ernies are not that much, I will say that. here's his website!  http://www.sapphirearchery.com/check him out!
PM me anyone who'd like to know anything further on the bow I have!

I fixed your link.  You had his e-mail instead of his website.  Ditto on what he said about pricing, but it won't be long before they are up there.

Thanks for the compliments all... it tickles me to death to see someone as happy as Paul is with their new bows... I actually had a hard time shipping that one off...it just fit me perfectly...

I just signed on a sponsor, so I can answer questions and such about them... Like they said, my bows, since I"m a newby to the trade, are a bargain right now... to make any money on them, I'll have to jack the prices up a bit...but they'll still be reasonable for a long time..

Check out my site if you get a chance. It needs updating..I have to get Bones NM Elk pic on their asap...  ;)

I'm tickled with it and all I saw were three pics.  We are going to have to talk some more Ernie, I think you need to make some more dust for me.  I'd like to get one just about like it, or very similiar.  I have an incling for some dark woods. Then throw in the Ivories as accent.  I think Ray said it earlier, so many bows so little time or money or something like that.  I need another one like I need a hole in the head, but they are better than fine art as far as I am concerned.  I'd almost like to retire the one I am using and try another one.  It shoots so damn good though that would never happen.  A bow for each day of the week. : )  WELCOME as a sponsor.

I need to try to get my order in before Elknut lets any of his friends see it or his son shoot it, as I can imagine there will be a line-up after that.  I'm looking for one very similiar in appearance to his.  My size as before at 31" which by the way is pushing 80 pounds everyone.  It helps I'm the size of a moose.  There is a reason why this things sends these arrows faster than rockets. I'll get to you in private to talk woods, but I am really looking for a dark tone with it again with the elk Ivory inlays if possible.
