shoot the top one first then focus on the second. I figure taking the further one would leave me a chance to get the closer one while he is still in range.

that would depend on why you are hunting them. if hunting for furs it would be the bigger top one. if hunting to reduce the population, then the smaller bottom one hopeing it is the female. if just for fun, then the top one just because hes bigger.

I picked the top one because it looked as if the fur is better.  The bottom had more color though.

Top on on the shoulder, clean up the bottom one next.

Beauty of a top dog.  Bottom dog definitely has "color" but in yotes, the color red is usually bad.

Top one first, then get the second one while still in range.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

I almost always take the furthest first, hoping for more of a chance at the nearer one, but these two are fairly close so it would be a toss up.  Back yote is a little larger and looks to have a better coat so it would take the first bullet regardless.  Of course the way I have been shooting lately they are both pretty safe unless someone will make me a deal on a mortar launcher  :chuckle:
