Tuff hunt. we had trouble last year finding a cow but finally got it done. Try Lambert rd, at about the halfway point, in between private there is a section of public ground on the right hand side. alot of the locals feed the elk and deer in the winter up there and most likely will tell you "ABSOLUTELY NOT" if you ask permission but some will eventually cross into that public section. Saw a nice bull in there last year.  :dunno:

Booner that state chunk looks a lot different these days its completely logged so now the elk pass through instead of bedding in the timber like they use to.

Has anyone brought to thought that if our tag runs through Jan 9th we will need a new 2011 License?

Licenses are valid until March 31st, I believe. They don't expire on Dec. 31 like they used to.

A buddy of mine has a cow tag and was thinking on trying the Middle fork of the Teanaway but I am sure people have been up there. He doesn't have a snowmobile so he will be hoofing it.
