You would need an FFL to ship the frame. You can't buy the frame without the FFL so you can't ship it either. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've never been able to buy a frame without an FFL dealer getting it for me.

I actually changed it up a little. I know have the Bellm TC's hammer extender on it along with the heavier hammer springs they recommend. It is THE solution for the clearance problem if you ask me. You just got to put the heavier hammer spring in it to prevent misfire. The additional weight of the hammer extender, as little as it is, could cause a misfire. It took me 10 minutes tops to install those 2 things, and another 5 minutes to install their oversized hinge pin. You also should make sure the 3 set screws are tight on the extender now and then. My gun's a tack driver and my go to rig now.

Ahha, did you end up going with the medium rings as well, or just go with the extender/hinge pin/HD spring? I ordered those 3 peices after seeing your reply, had been giving them some serious thought before, but your post pretty much sealed the deal.  Can you tell if the extender being off to the side make it harder to pull back, or if the hammer twists at all in the process?  Thanks Jack

Heading out to the woods to put a few rounds through it and punish my shoulder some! (300win w/ no flex-tech  :chuckle:)

Campmeat, not sure where the FFL stuff came from, but yea, the frame is the only piece an FFL is required for

Still have the medium rings. Now it's a Tally Lightweight 1 piece. The extender did not make a very noticeable difference as far as pulling the hammer. Maybe a little harder but not enough to make a difference.
I am also shooting a 300wm barrel without a flext tech. The key is the Defensive Edge brake on it.

So you have the rifle version of the encore? I have the 30-06 pistol version. They are a kick in the pants

I do, yes...I love mine. Also have a .22-250 barrel for it.
There's a few on here that have them.
30-06 pistol....yeehaw...Is that kinda like hitting a baseball with an aluminum bat on a really cold day?

Oooo nice setup, I assume medium height on the Talley mount? Did you have to buy the completed barrel from DE? Sorry for all the questions

Was expecting more kick from it today, honestly seemed like there was notably less recoil with it, than with my 30-06 or 270...(go encore!) I did just about knock myself out on the 3rd shot though. Definitely need to remember to keep my distance from that scope

The frame is like a pistol. You can't ship them without an FFL holder doing it. You could try and send it UPS/FEDEX, but that might be a risk.  :twocents:

This only true if shipping to a private party. If you are shipping to the manufacturer, then no FFL needed.  I have done this a few times with my H&R to have new barrels fitted.

Yes medium height Tally.
No I had a smith install the brake that I bought from DE. It's the heavy 26" 300wm barrel. About $80 for the brake and he milled and installed it for another $80.00. It makes all the difference in the world if you don't mind a little noise. The last time I shot at the range I was told by the guy sitting next to me that it "speaks with authority". I can watch my target through the scope all the way through the shot.
