Hunting with Elknut1
« on: April 19, 2008, 11:00:58 AM »
Elknut, I was wondering how many states do you guys get into in a year.  Do you try to hunt a couple?  I'm wondering what the feasability of it is to try to hunt a couple this year.

I have a Spring bear tag in my pocket.  A Monatana combo Deer Elk tag in the mail.  Put in for G&H in Wyoming and New Mexico with Hogsniper.  Going to put in for Oregon combo, and may possibly try and squeeze in a trip back to Idaho for archery elk.  Maybe Ill draw a big bull tag here, then the Idaho thing while be Kiboshed.  Its gonna be tough to make everything happen, especially with a little one on the way again, due in December.

Oh wiat a minute.....Applied for so many things.  I guess its just deer in Utah.  I am waiting to draw the deer tag there so I can switch over to elk.  Thats an elk mecca right now.  I'm for everything in Nevada, I mean everything. I decided to go for goat in Idaho.  Probably should have went sheep, but I have a feeling I will be goat hunting somewhere this year.

Washington.  Oregon a deer drop camp.  I am in the drawing for deer in colorado.  And if I don't draw colorado.  Then I am thinking about buying a mule deer tag in Idaho.

Archery elk for me in Washington, hoping to get a Margaret or Toutle bull tag, will hunt deer here but not sure which season yet. Of course I'm planning on drawing my moose tag here so will be looking forward to that as well  Montana tags on their way, will be putting in for a "lope" as well, and maybe moose. I see them every year I suppose its about time I applied. Still thinking of OTC Idaho, one of my partners has connections in some good hunting area over there for deer, and may hit M-Ray up on making the trip as well, he does very well over there. Then I plan on trying to fill my eastside deer raffle tag in December :kneel:

Very true.  I applied last year, but this year decided to go for goats.  If I hadn't drawn MT, I might have tried Oregon general.  I think you can still buy OTC archery there.  Anyhow, just wondered if you guys tried multiple hunts.  Thats hard to do when you only have a couple weeks.
