This Just makes me wanna  :puke: :puke: :puke:
When i walk in 2 miles to find a rig, and no dnr or wdfw are obviously going to be there,
My buck 110 might fall into a tires sidewall on accident...
Better yet my valve stem core puller might accidently loosen a core (like my speeding neighbor)  :dunno:

So what reason does the DNR give for the gates that are closed right now?  What's the purpose of having them locked?

Being older than dirt, I remember when gates were the exception, not the rule. Back in the late 60's  and 70's growing up in the Snohomish/Monroe/Sultan area, we used to have keggers ALL over the surrounding  hills, and or do WHATEVER we wanted in these now gated areas. Life was great (too bad we didn't know it) Drove my 72 Blazer in, around and through many of the roads that were in what is now the wild sky area.
Then the county started charging excessive amounts to dump garbage, and it was the beginning of the end. Arsholes began dumping everything they could for free and the gate was the answer. These kind of people RUINED a great way of life.
If the gates are there,NO special treatment for tribes. If they do,I'll order some keys Logger.

Seems to be a popular thought nowadays, this place is going downhill fast

Would pushing this on the local news orgs help at all? Get King/Kiro/Komo to start asking questions, bringing this to the general publics attention, etc

The reason we stopped hunting Clearwater was because the tribe had keys to the gates and would follow us around in their trucks during early archery elk and shoot the elk that we had been pushing around!  We stuck one big 6x7 that ran out onto a spur only to have the tribe finish it off with their rifles, load it up whole and tear down the road honking their horn and yelling.   >:( >:( >:(  If this thing goes through that kid of crap is going to happen to a lot more folks.

So what reason does the DNR give for the gates that are closed right now?  What's the purpose of having them locked?

It's because of people dumping garbage in the woods, and lately there's been a lot of timber theft. Yes, people actually going in with a log truck and stealing trees at night.  >:(
