Blues High Mountain Shed
« on: January 26, 2011, 08:10:34 AM »
So there are no deer in the Blues? I'm not posting the ATL's, but I wanted to share it with you guys anyways. It seems I find all my sheds in the nastiest holes. This was found in one of those holes... Scores 83 1/8 gross. The back forks are huge. The deer would be 23" tall and around 23"-24" wide. My guess was he would have grossed in the mid to upper 180's. The squirrels got to it before I did. That's a Tall Boy in there for reference. Enjoy.

What elevation did you find that shed at?

The rodents really get after them in the higher elevations it seems.

Is that a fresh shed? This year's drop or is it old? (I'm guessing old cause of the rodential damage).

Nice find, I could just imagine how many sheds are hiding out in that country. I need to get horses and spend a month down there on a shed hunt.

Actually it's a plant so people can claim there's deer in the Blues.   :chuckle:
