my next bow question
« on: January 27, 2011, 11:35:05 PM »
So I have gone out and looked at and held a lot of bows in the $500 range.  So far I have loved the G5 hammer, like the looks and feel of a couple bears.  I like the looks of the PSE's but they felt a little off in my hand.  The diamonds are nice too.  Now I am wondering if I should wait, save more money and step up my price range.  What are the differences? More speed, quieter, smoother, lighter etc?  What about warranties? At what point am I just paying more just to feed my ego? lol I want a quiet bow first and foremost.  I will trade some fps for a smooth quiet bow.  Thanks for the insight guys

You can get a good bow in that price range that will kill anything that walks. I like the bow madness in that price range. The hammer and Iceman are good bows as well. Just get what fits right and you can shoot well.

You're at the limit that everything above it is ego-related for 90% of the people.  Only 10% of the people can use the features that those extra dollars bring.

In your last post I posted that they have 2009 never been used Diamond Iceman bows for $454.  You are NOT EVER gonna find a better bow for that price ANYWHERE!!!  That is an $850 bow for only 454 bucks.  If I wanted to drop $500 on a bow I'd drop it on that Iceman.  That bow is as quiet and smooth as your gonna find for any price.  I promise.
