Non Typical Blacktail Mount
« on: May 06, 2008, 10:46:23 AM »
Here are some pictures of a weirdo nontypical buck . Thought you might like to see the whole mount instead of just the nose. This is the buck I did the pictorial on. I think I will be taking this mount to the Boise Taxidermy competition on June 5Th to see how my retail taxidermy work holds up to the competition work. Its always nice to get good criticism from a competition judge. Enjoy the pictures. This is a neat Buck.

Outstanding.  Did you have a full back seem, or just up by the ears?   Somebody should be very happy with that.

It was split all the way up the back. Something I have been really working on is the sewing part. I want to be able to sew and make a perfect seam. I am getting better but not perfect yet.

  Nice looking mount Bucklucky.

I don't care for the long incision all the way down the back.  I try to use a short "Y" on deer as much as I can.  Either way it realy doesn't bother me.  Sometimes it is easier for hunters to cape a deer with the long "Y".    :)

Nice work Charlie!!! Can't wait to bring a buck out to ya, hopefully I can pull off a mounter muley, whitetail, and blacky this year. Still don't have my avatar buck back, stopped by his shop 2 months ago, he told me he'd have it done in a week!! It'll be 3 years in Oct. Hope your turn around is a little better. grin.....
